For the last eight years, the Uttar Pradesh government has been making the youth aware of the history and saga of the country through various cultural, literary, and spiritual events.

The UP government will organise ‘Partition Horror Memorial Day’ across all 75 districts of the state this year as well, on August 14. While the youth of Uttar Pradesh will learn about the tragedy of Partition, displaced families will also have the opportunity to express their pain. Numerous events will be held during this period, with the cooperation of various social and voluntary organisations, under the supervision of the Culture Department.

An exhibition of archives related to the Partition Horror will be organised at places selected by the district administrations. The youth will gain awareness of the events of that time through photographs, newspaper clippings, literature, government records, and preserved materials of displaced families. Local publishers and booksellers will also participate in the exhibition. Under the direction of the Culture Department, films and documentaries related to the India-Pakistan Partition Horror will be screened across all 75 districts, both at exhibition venues and in schools, colleges, and universities.
